Kerri Foster is the founder and owner of Foster Fastpitch Academy, Alabama’s premier organization dedicated to training softball players. Kerri was a four-year starter at Hoover High School, winning two state championships and went on to become an All Conference pitcher for the University of Alabama at Birmingham. For the past 11 years, since her graduation she has been providing pitching instruction and currently teaches 80 students ranging in age from 6 - 21. As a player, she received personal pitching instruction from Ernie Parker, Vann Stuedeman (Mississippi State), and Angela Thompson (South Carolina). As an instructor, she has trained with Sharon O’mara, who has significant international experience with the Venezuelan Women’s Team and the Australian Junior National Team.
In addition to teaching, Foster also coaches top level travel teams. Recently her 18U Gold Team, the Alabama Crusaders, was the first in Alabama history to earn a berth to ASA Gold Nationals where the team finished 17th and 30th in respective years. Kerri is widely recognized as an accomplished and effective instructor and this past summer worked with the 8 Division1 pitchers as well as several junior college pitchers to prepare them for their college seasons. Her students are currently playing at the top levels of softball in programs such as the University of Alabama, Western Kentucky, Mississippi State, UAB, UAH, Jacksonville State, Northwest Florida, Faulkner and many others.
